Hi there! This is Ryan Hulland with Netfloor USA. If you've watched any of our videos, you've probably heard my voice!
I wanted to personally write a special "About Us" page, to provide even more background information than is available in our "About Us" section.
Huh? What is this "MonMan" ? Good question. MonMan is a woman-owned business based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Actually, it was started by my mom, Vicky Hulland. I've worked with her for a long time. MonMan got its start when Vicky decided that she wasn't happy working for other sales people. She knew she could provide better customer service. And more importantly, she could provide more honest customer service.
At the time, MonMan was heavily involved in the mission critical industries, and for many of our customers, it was refreshing to work with a vendor that was honest, up front and strove to be more than just a sales company; MonMan strives to be an integral part of the construction team.
Since being started in 1996, and incorporated in 2000, MonMan has worked with thousands of mission critical customers, from the largest search engine(s) in the world, to small businesses. MonMan got really good at bringing new, innovative products to market, and that's how Netfloor USA fits into the picture.
But, this isn't about MonMan, right? You're here because you're interested in Netfloor USA access flooring!
Brand. Subsidiary. Division. Those words have been overused for so long they're practically meaningless. When we got the idea for Netfloor USA and low profile, cable management access floor systems, we knew we were on to something. Something big. Something that could be so important to people in construction, architecture and IT, that it needed to be more than a brand. It needed to be its own company. Netfloor USA needed its own website, offices, employees; everything.
We also learned a few lessons the hard way. When you make the world a better place by disrupting stagnant industries, you're bound to ruffle some feathers.
Not everyone is as excited about our growth as we are.
Sadly, the world isn't a rose-colored utopia like some wish it could be (nothing wrong with that!). We all have to work hard every day. There are skyscrapers that need to be built, offices that need to be designed, and your IT infrastructure won't install itself!
So, this all sounds well and good, but who wouldn't be excited about this? Our Competition.
Yep. It's sad. It really is. Netfloor USA is disrupting an industry that has been stagnant for decades. No, really, you know those old IBM mainframes from the 1950s? Yeah, they were installed on traditional access floor.
Why are we still buillding IT infrastructure with products that have been around for half a century, when there are better options?
Well, to be frank, the architects/designers, engineers and end users we work with seem to like Netfloor USA products a lot (I'm basing that on the huge amount of repeat customers we have.)
The competition probably isn't as happy with us as our happy customers.
But, ya know what? We really don't care. The core leadership at Netfloor USA has been through this before, and it's par for the course. We are going to keep growing, keep serving our customers to the best of our ability, and we're going to work to improve IT infrastructure; and we're not letting any naysayers from the competition stop us!
Sales people get a bad wrap, and sometimes, it's well-deserved. In my personal life, and here at Netfloor USA, I'm always happy to learn about products and services that might be useful. But I don't want to feel like I'm the victim of a high-pressure sales pitch. Conversely, I don't like it when a salesperson stops talking about what they can do for me, and start telling me what the 'other guy' can't do.
Gossip and badmouthing people won't get you far unless you're still in high school (and even then it's still wrong!)
For over 20 years in the mission critical industry, we worked with everyone from CEOs, to IT managers, Architects, Contractors, Technicians and everyone in between. We felt like we had a good grasp on the construction and IT industries. For those lucky team members who have worked for MonMan and now work for Netfloor USA, they have brought the moral and ethical belief system nurtured at MonMan to Netfloor USA. That is one of the biggest reaons we've grown so much in the past few years. Our customers trust us. And we know that trust is earned. It can't be bought. And it shouldn't be affected by any word on the street, rumors, etc.
The professionals that we are, you and I, are far too busy trying to grow, build, develop and program to get caught up in petty things. The proof is in the pudding, right?
I don't like it when a salesperson stops talking about what they can do for me, and starts telling me what the other guy can't do.
If you're reading this, you're probably interested in our products. Maybe we've even had the luck to speak with you already, and you're just doing your homework on us. Either way, GREAT! We truly hope we get the chance to work on your project!
Let me give you my promise. This is my word and reputation on the line. I don't want you to believe anything you read on our website. That's right, don't believe it. Our customer service policy might sound great, but don't believe it.
We all know that in the real world, nobody reads a boilerplate About Us page and thinks "Wow! What a great company! They must be saints; I can't WAIT to buy their product!"
Nope. In the real world, people like you need to make sure you are doing business with a company that isn't just reputable, but a company you can trust. A company that you are confident will do the right thing when things go wrong. A group of people who actually care about you, your team, and your project.
There is literally nothing I can say that could convince you that I'm describing Netfloor USA. And even if there were, you shouldn't take my word for it.
No, trust must be earned. It can be a long process, too. I've worked with architects and engineers that started to trust me only after years of working with them. They've simply been burned by other companies too often. That doesn't bother me and it's not offensive. We are all people. We are all consumers, customers and professionaly, we all have clients of our own, no matter what industry we're in.
If you've run out of great things to say about your business that you have to rely on spreading rumors about your competition, they've already beaten you.
Here is my promise: We work hard every day here at Netfloor USA. We work hard for our customers. We know we need to earn your trust, but we don't set out to do necessarily do that. No, we try to live our professional lives the same way people aspire to live their personal lives: as good, decent, honest people. We will work hard for you, and with you I can't guarantee there won't be a hiccup along the way, but I do guarantee that we will work to fix it, whatever it takes. I guarantee that we will be honest and up front about pricing. We hold ourselves to high moral and ethical standards, and I hope that will become evident as we start working together.
Finally, you will never hear us talking poorly about our competition. We want our products to stand on their own. If you want to know more about why we feel Netfloor USA makes the best IT infrastructure products, please read more.
But you'll never hear us talking down about our competition or their products. As a matter of fact, if you do, please contact me so I can correct any bad information! My LinkedIn and Twitter profiles are at the top of the article. Seriously, let me know if we here at HQ, or any of our wonderful distributors or installers are talking down about any competition.
Life is too short for that, and if you've run out of great things to say about your business that you have to rely on spreading rumors about your competition, they've already beaten you.
I hope to get the chance to work with you soon, and we all hope that we will earn your trust.
